We're seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead three proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives within a chemistry-focused research portfolio. These early-stage, vendor-led pilots require a PM who can bring structure to Agile settings, manage stakeholders, and streamline execution in a scientific and technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive day-to-day project execution across three concurrent POCs.
- Act as a central hub for communication, ensuring alignment across internal teams, external vendors, and scientific stakeholders.
- Facilitate and participate in Agile ceremonies; manage sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Maintain clear timelines, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and executive-ready status reports.
- Structure and simplify workflows-introduce efficiencies and eliminate process friction.
- Gather and incorporate user feedback from pilot groups to inform go/no-go implementation decisions.
- Support vendor management, including contract oversight, deliverables tracking, and budget alignment.
- Contribute to 2025 planning activities, including resource forecasting and budget planning if projects advance.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on project management experience, including Agile and traditional (Waterfall/Hybrid) methods.
- Proven track record in stakeholder management-including scientists, engineers, and executives.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex workflows, enhance team efficiency, and drive structured execution.
- Experience in technical project delivery, particularly vendor-led software/platform implementations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bridge technical and non-technical discussions.
- Familiarity with chemistry or life sciences is a plus, but not required.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to chemical design platforms, integration workflows, or cloud-based solutions.
- Experience in matrixed organizations with distributed Agile teams.
- Background in R&D, biotech, or scientific technology implementations.
