Hospitalist

Pinnacle Health Hospitalist Services seeks Hospitalist (multiple openings) to work in Carlisle, Harrisburg, and Mechanicsburg, PA to examine, diagnose, and treat hospitalized patients 18 years or older; manage patients through the continuum of hospital care, seeing patients in the ER and following them into the critical care unit and organizing post-acute care; order treatments and tests and consult with specialty physicians and other primary care physicians where appropriate; serve as a member of the Rapid Response Team to respond to changing patient status throughout the hospital; teach and supervise medical students on rotation with the medical hospitalist team; and serve on Medical Staff Committees as requested. May be required to work overnight shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Examine, diagnose, and treat hospitalized patients 18 years or older;
• Manage patients through the continuum of hospital care, seeing patients in the ER and following them into the critical care unit and organizing post-acute care;

Qualifications:

• Must have M.D. or D.O. or foreign degree equivalent,
• Have completed Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program, and
• Have a valid Pennsylvania medical license.
