About the Role

Axiom Builders is seeking an experienced Building Envelope Specialist to lead our efforts in optimizing building performance and integrating sustainable construction practices. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Construction, you will oversee the implementation of advanced building sciences strategies and ensure compliance with industry standards and evolving sustainability regulations. Collaborating closely with Estimating, Project Management, and Field Operations, you will play a key role in enhancing construction techniques, building envelope performance, and quality assurance programs for of projects ranging from mix-use high-rises to master-plan wood-frame communities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning:
  • Develop and apply advanced building science strategies to improve construction methods and enhance overall building performance.
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients to establish and uphold durability plans that support long-term building integrity.
  • Continuously review and refine Durability Plans, including Quality Assurance and Quality Control Programs;
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive innovation and compliance.


Building Performance Assessment & Analysis:
  • Provide expertise in building envelope design and construction, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations;
  • Review and assess building envelope designs, specifications, and construction details for accuracy and performance;
  • Work closely with project teams to integrate building sciences principles into project planning and execution;
  • Analyze building performance metrics to identify opportunities for energy efficiency, durability, and sustainability improvements.

You excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams, problem-solving, and driving innovation in building performance, durability, and efficiency. You are an organized, detail-oriented professional who is eager to make a lasting impact on how buildings are designed and constructed.

Skills and Experience
  • 5+ year of experience in building envelope design and construction techniques;
  • Degree in Building Science, Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in building performance assessment, energy efficiency, and sustainability;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Proficiency in relationship management and collaboration with project teams and stakeholders;
