Senior Data Analyst II

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Specialized business support through in-depth data analysis and research. Independently design queries to assess data for research purposes. Independently run complex data statistics. Run data profiles. Support business or other data engineering teams with data subject matter expertise. Design, complete, and present new data evaluations to diverse audiences. Create data documentation including mappings and quality thresholds. Investigate, track, and report data issues. Good level of intimacy within a specific data content area. Conducts routine data review and verification and ensures corrections/clarifications are made in a timely manner. Undertake and complete new data onboarding and/or production data management functions as assigned/required. Utilize various data workflow management and analysis tools. Resolve and/or guide data sources in resolving moderate data issues within specific functional area or data type. Assist with production of detailed information, requirements, and/or instruction to internal resources regarding, but not limited to: data analysis, data correction, data questions, and new data projects. Produce moderate ad hoc data counts, stats, and examples as required. Mentor less senior data engineers on methodologies and optimization techniques. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.
• 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.

• Also required is:
  • 3 years of experience in: Preparing data for modeling using ETL, exploratory data analysis, reporting, and QA; Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system, reduce data redundancy, streamline data movements, and improve enterprise information management.
  • 2 years of experience: developing code using Python, test, and update applications; Developing metrics to measure various characteristics of the business.
• Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Inc. office in Boca Raton, FL, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
• Experience can be concurrent.
