POSITION SUMMARY

Capable of performing work as assigned and mentored by a Lead Process Engineer or Sr. Process Engineer. Capable of assisting with the modeling and design of process equipment for the Oil and Gas (upstream, midstream, and downstream) and Chemical industries by applying principles and technology of chemistry, physics, and chemical engineering.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Develop understanding of client, industry, regulatory and other guidelines, codes, etc.
  • Work toward having ability for developing engineering calculations using scope and criteria provided, with minimal direction.
  • Work toward having ability for designing systems.
  • Prepare design calculations as directed for criteria provided using spreadsheets and simulation software (HYSYS and Aspen Plus).
  • Assist in preparation of process engineering studies and reports.
  • Conduct field trips to existing plants to gather operating data and equipment information.
  • Prepare PFDs and heat and material balances.
  • Work toward providing primary communication of discipline specific information to project manager.
  • Perform other technical assignments as directed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required

Experience: 7-10+ years related experience

Computer Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, Aspen HYSYS

Certifications & Licenses: PE License preferred
