Your Role
The Consumer Growth Marketing team is accountable for developing acquisition and retention marketing strategies in support of our business partner's growth goals. As a data-driven marketer, the Marketing Strategist, Principal will report to the Senior Director, Consumer Growth Marketing, with a dotted line to the Senior Manager, Acquisition and Retention Marketing. In this role you will be accountable for building and optimizing our marketing program for Dual Eligible (Medi-Cal and Medicare) consumers, and the Medicare retention strategy across all Medicare products. This includes collaborating with team members, Brand and Marketing peers, Medicare Sales, Marketing Research, Product and Compliance partners, and external Agency vendors. This role requires someone who can quickly shift from building high-level strategy, to managing execution, monitoring results, and optimizing campaigns as needed to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Distill complex problems to solve, connect strategic insights, and craft resolutions that align with strategic growth targets
- Create Acquisition and Retention Campaigns to drive profitable growth for our Medicare Markets partners, while also developing the strategy for cohesive sales collateral to support their efforts in the field
- Co-lead an effort with our digital partners to ensure the web experience is optimized to capture leads and retain current members
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Consumer Growth Marketing, the Senior Manager, Medicare Acquisition and Retention Marketing and other Principals on the team to lead and collaborate on large scale, complex projects
- Influence Sales Leadership and Marketing Leadership to challenge thinking and drive the direction of the strategy based on data and insights
- Present to Directors and Vice Presidents when appropriate and attend meetings on behalf of the Senior Director, Consumer Marketing
- Build the strategy for and project manage the Duals product marketing and Medicare Retention programs
- Write strategic and creative briefs directing the agency and/or creative team as appropriate to deliver business results
- Develop statistically significant controls and test strategies to drive continuous improvement in year-over-year results
- Work with analytics team members to effectively optimize and report on campaign performance
- Lead culturally sensitive marketing approaches to support Acquisition and Retention Marketing, while helping to pull that culturally sensitive marketing approach through all touch points related to the target audience
- Direct the work of other individual contributors and/or act as a cross-functional team lead on a variety of initiatives, as needed
- Be accountable for delivery of in-budget, on-time Marketing campaigns that are accurate, legal and regulatory compliant, and effective at meeting or exceeding goals
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience in marketing
- Requires at least 3 years of experience working for a healthcare company, preferably health plan
- Requires experience building and executing on successful data-driven Acquisition and Retention Marketing Campaigns
- Must be an effective storyteller and know how to create impactful presentations for executive and sales leadership
- Must have strong influence and communication skills and be able to work across the organization including Brand and Marketing to capture plan details, goals and results
- Must be highly detail oriented, highly analytical, very organized and a strong self-starter
