Overview:
Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for Same Day Surgery.
The RN Unit Coordinator (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to surgical and procedural patients throughout their pre-operative and post-operative journey.
Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
License and Certification
Education
Shift: Days - Full-time
Department hours: 0530 - 2130 Monday through Friday.
Education: BSN or MSN in Nursing preferred.
Experience: At least one year of bedside nursing experience required.
Certifications: Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
Education
