Job Summary

Southlake Regional Health Centre (SRHC) is one of three partners of a Shared Health Information Network Exchange (SHINE). Oak Valley Health (OVH) and Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) are the other two partners. This position will be responsible for leading, coordinating and supporting the SRHC and SMH implementation of Computerized Provider Order Management (CPOM). This position will work in coordination with the SHINE project director to ensure completion of project deliverables for SRHC and SMH. The expectation is that this position will use project management best practices to drive this key initiative in collaboration with senior leaders and management teams across SHINE organizations and partners, physician and organization leaders and front-line and support staff. Part of the deliverables will be to work with the project and medical teams and deliver strategies and plans for communication, orientation, training and change adaption.

Primary Responsibilities
Create project work plans in coordination with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, deliverables, budgets, accountabilities, schedules, timelines, resources, monitoring, and post project audit/evaluation.
Manage project deliverables against outlined deliverables and within defined governance model.
Identify and manage critical interdependencies, and effectively communicate these with stakeholders.
Facilitate discussions with stakeholders including driving consensus on contentious topics.
Manage the daily operational aspects of a project providing project management expertise and guidance, enforcing project standards, anticipating, and troubleshooting issues, and identifying project risk.
Lead, organize and facilitate project-related meetings, develop project reports, presentations, statistics, and other related documents, as required.
Manage recruitment, retention, and performance management of staff or consultants dedicated to projects.
Travel to partner sites across SHINE (main locations are Alliston, Newmarket, Markham and Uxbridge) as required.
May be required to work off-hours and/or non-business hours during critical times of any project implementation.

Qualifications
Post-Secondary education in healthcare science or appropriate healthcare field required.
PMP certification required.
Five (5+) years direct experience in a project management capacity is required.
Experience with identifying, designing, and implementing digital health strategies.
Demonstrated knowledge developing and implementing change management plans in the health care environment.
Sound organizational, documentation and planning skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet conflicting deadlines are essential.
Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and communication skills to build strong relationships, gain credibility and network effectively with all levels of the organization and with external partners.
Excellent presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written); ability to articulate analytical results and tell a story.
Demonstrated experience in resource management and conflict resolution.
Systems thinker, with experience leading projects and initiatives aligned with strategic directions.
Proven experience in needs assessment, analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills
Experience of MEDITECH or other large health information systems would be an asset.
Experience with the implementation of computerized electronic order entry.
Experience working in a multi-site or multi-hospital collaboration would be an asset.
Demonstrated understanding of inter-professional collaboration and education.
Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to Southlake Regional Health Centre standards.
Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated problem assessment skills.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork.
Demonstrated individual leadership skills.
