Key Responsibilities:
- Provide urgent care services to animals, diagnosing and treating a variety of illnesses and injuries.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in line with best practices.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure clear communication about their pets' health, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Work closely with a skilled technical team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or has successfully completed the ECFVG or PAVE program).
- Active veterinary license in good standing in Virginia (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience in an urgent care setting is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to provide top-tier care under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both clients and the veterinary team.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional care while embracing a Fear Free approach to patient handling.
