About This Role:
The Clerk of the Circuit Court is an elected official. The Senior Executive Assistant to the Clerk, plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Executive Office by providing executive-level administrative support. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage a variety of tasks, including coordinating schedules, handling communications, drafting correspondence, and performing internal systems research. The Senior Executive Assistant must possess exceptional organizational skills, maintain confidentiality, and be able to comfortably navigate the complexities of working in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment interacting with all levels of local government leadership. A successful Senior Executive Assistant is expected to understand and adopt the organization's vision and values, demonstrate the ability to anticipate needs appropriately, and have the ability to fully execute tasks as assigned while requiring minimal management. The Senior Executive Assistant is an indispensable partner in driving organizational success and supporting the executive's day-to-day operations.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years of related experience
Strong Communication Skills - Ability to clearly and appropriately communicate with constituents and team members both in person and on the phone. Ability to neatly communicate in handwriting and the ability to read cursive writing.
Basic Computer Skills - Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.) and the willingness and ability to learn new systems as necessary.
Customer Service Experience - Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
Professional Appearance and Demeanor - Ability to present a polished and approachable image while interacting with constituents and team members in a polite, kind manner.
Organizational Skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks, appointments, and visitors efficiently.
Attention to Detail - Accuracy in handling information, following procedures, and managing multiple calendars.
Dependability - Reliable attendance and self-directed performance is required.
Positive Attitude - A friendly, patient, and helpful attitude is required interacting with constituents and team members.
Special Requirements: Ability to pass a background check
Work Schedule: Monday- Fridays 08:30-5:00pm
Starting Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
This is an "At Will" position, and hires will serve at the pleasure of the Clerk of Court.
