We are looking for a Senior Applied Scientist who can delight our customers by continually learning and inventing. Our ideal candidate is an experienced Applied Scientist who has a track-record of performing deep analysis and is passionate about applying advanced ML and statistical techniques to solve innovative, ambiguous and complex challenges to create new experiences to viewers and optimize the product performance, and who is motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

* Design, prototype and test many possible hypotheses in a high-ambiguity environment, perform hands-on analysis and modeling of enormous data sets to develop insights that improve viewers experiences

* Perform performance analysis across different TV creative types, supply opportunities, and provide recommendations

* Collaborate with Generative AI teams to assess different models and measure outcome.

* Drive end-to-end Machine Learning projects that have a high degree of ambiguity, scale, complexity.

* Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine-learning model development, model validation and serving.

* Promote the culture of experimentation and applied science at Amazon

Bravo team (Brand Ads and Sponsored TV Ads) is a relatively new and critical Ads program that is pioneering new experiences to help brands (sellers, vendors, influencers) connect with millions of viewers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience

- PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of applied research experience

- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language

- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.

- Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
