Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California and/or licensure in relevant clinical specialty
Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a registered nurse
Minimum three (3) years of RN experience in Hematology/BMT/Cellular Therapies
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a nurse supervisor or nurse manager role in a matrixed academic setting
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing, and compliance environments
Proven ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and delegate work functions efficiently
Knowledge of current and emerging best practices and technologies in the clinic / center healthcare industry
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and see projects through from inception to completion
High level of initiative and ability to work independently
Strong clinic / center patient care management skills. Practice management knowledge in scheduling, customer-service methods, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and / or information technology. Broad knowledge of patient population served and the requirements for the delivery of services
Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a climate for effective communication and collaborative decision making
Strong leadership, fiscal, and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management, and staff from all disciplines. Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration, and consistent achievement of objectives
Knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes.
Preferred qualifications:
BMTCN (ONCC)
Master's Degree
Experience with TJC and FACT accreditation surveys
Two (2) year of experience as a BMT/Cellular Therapy nurse coordinator in an academic setting.
