Job Description:
Responsible for the development of agency revenue through intakes and post-intake client services. Identifies business opportunities to improve client care, monitors the utilization of services, develops strategic procedures on service delivery, and coaches the team to increase client and guardian satisfaction.
Essential Duties:
The Director of Support Services will be expected to have consistent follow-through with all efforts, build relationships with prospects and clients, and provide direction to those seeking services.
Resolve client inquiries and issues.
Responsibility for the preparation of program budget required to achieve program objectives utilizing fee schedules and rate determination.
Maintains internal control policies and processes in line with Law, Statues, Rules, Regulations and
Mandates.
Prepares short-term (1 year) and longer-term (2-5 years) budget plans for required departments.
Ensures conformity with auditing requirements.
Monitors revenue and expenditure for the purpose of sound fiscal responsibility.
Fosters an environment where cost-benefit outcomes are continuously improved.
Prepares consolidated financial reports for presentation to superior(s).
Prepares the annual Departmental budget requirements for the assigned program services, along with required internal controls.
Develops options and recommendations for budget targets.
Maintains the financial records and systems for budget inputs.
Provides analytical support to the Finance function in the preparation of financial proposals, submissions and projected costs to be included in budgets and allocations.
Identifies and provides initial analysis of problem areas or issues relating to the implementation of
policies, procedures, administrative systems and performance standards.
Interprets and provides advice on existing financial policies.
Promotes adherence to Agency policy and overall financial and service function.
Reviews and monitors budget to ensure that the required financial procedures are adhered to and all monies are accounted for through auditing of billing practices.
Develops, monitors and evaluates processes and tools to ensure that financial policies, procedures, systems and standards.
Co-ordinates the review and formulation of policies, procedures and systems across the organization.
Promotes adherence to standards of service and provides overall direction regarding financial
management practices.
Provides support and education to clients and families in describing Agency services.
Qualifications:
*The employee must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training and essential duties to include the following; but not limited to:
American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR and recertification every two years.
Agency approved Crisis Management and recertification annually.
Initial Medication Administration with on-site competency assessment and annually thereafter.
Initial Preventing Abuse and Neglect with on-site competency assessment and annually thereafter.
Positive Behavior Supports.
12 hours of professional development annually per calendar year prorated at one hour per month.
Specialized Training as required.
*The employee shall be 18 years of age or older and possess a driver's license valid in the State of New Jersey (probational licenses are not accepted).
*The employee must submit to a criminal background check, and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals.
*The employee must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
*The employees hired after 6/15/2018 shall submit to drug testing prior to employment.
*All direct care employees shall submit to drug testing conducted randomly and for cause.
*All employees shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI);
*All employees must demonstrate successful completion of a Pre-employment physical; Pre-employment tuberculosis test as required by The State of New Jersey Department of Human Services.
*Clearance based on a 3-year and annual motor vehicle abstract assessment.
