Job Type: FTE/Permanent
Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Averaging 40 hours per week. 8a-5p, Monday-Friday, but the department operates 24/7, 365 days per year, and may require on-call phone support/consults.
Position Overview:
This role provides leadership at the clinical level in the implementation and oversight of Emergency Department & Acute Care behavioral health services. Working closely with a team of Behavioral Health Specialists, the position collaborates with various healthcare providers, leaders, and managers to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of quality patient care services.
The leader will guide the team in delivering social work services, clinical social work, psychotherapy, collaborative care, psychiatry, behavioral health crisis services, and resource coordination for patients in a compassionate and ethical manner, in line with recognized standards of care. The role also includes providing clinical supervision to caregivers working toward social work or mental health counselor licensure, as well as overseeing internship and practicum placements of social workers and mental health counselors.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team delivering a range of services including social work, psychotherapy, crisis services, and behavioral health care coordination.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and management to ensure quality, efficient patient care services.
- Provide clinical supervision to caregivers working towards licensure and oversee internship placements.
- Maintain a compassionate and ethical approach to care, adhering to recognized standards.
- Manage and supervise the delivery of behavioral health services in an acute care and emergency department setting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant documentation, coding, and billing standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
- 5 years of direct clinical care experience with adults experiencing behavioral health conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of management experience in a clinical setting with demonstrated supervisory competence and program management.
- Demonstrated experience in organizing and implementing behavioral health services, including compliance with documentation and billing requirements and standards.
Skills and Certifications (required):
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
- 5 years of direct clinical care experience with adults with behavioral health conditions
