Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Execute engineering tasks related to the preparation of plans for new main extensions, fire services, hydrants, and domestic service connections for developer-funded projects and capital improvement main replacement projects.

Work independently to utilize AutoCAD in the design and layout of new facilities, ensuring seamless integration with existing and proposed utility systems.

Develop and produce detailed engineers' cost estimates, considering all aspects of construction, materials, and labor requirements.

Independently prepare construction bid documents, specifying all necessary technical details, and take responsibility for securing required permits to ensure compliance with local regulations and project timelines.

Perform advanced engineering calculations, conduct thorough research, and analyze project-specific data to provide innovative solutions and ensure the design meets all technical, safety, and regulatory standards.

Provide ongoing support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the construction phase of all projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD

Functional use of engineering mathematics and ability to solve problems with engineering calculations.

Ability to work independently and to complete challenging assignments.

Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to shifting priorities

Competent in the use of engineering and office software such Microsoft Word, Excel and Access and other software employed by the company.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, EIT certificate, and adequate job experience as a Junior Engineer is required.

Land development experience is preferred.
