Senior Hydrogeologist

We are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist with 8 or more years of professional experience.. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical foundation in groundwater well testing and development, as well as water resource planning, designing and permitting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and specifying alluvial and bedrock aquifer wells, obtaining necessary permits, overseeing construction, and conducting aquifer testing
• Evaluating existing wells for performance, maintenance, and rehabilitation needs
• Conducting well-to-well interference studies to assess potential impacts
• Analyzing geophysical logs and aquifer test data for interpretation and decision-making
• Assisting with surface and groundwater rights assessments in Colorado and providing related technical support
• Collecting and analyzing water level and water quality data, including compilation and interpretation
• Reviewing laboratory water quality results and assessing their implications
• Preparing technical reports detailing fieldwork, observations, and the geological and hydrogeological factors influencing water resources

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field
• 8+ years of professional experience in related work
• Proficiency in hydrogeologic software and modeling tools (MODFLOW)
• Strong understanding of groundwater flow principles, contaminant transport, and field testing methodologies.
• Experience in monitoring well design, aquifer testing, and data interpretation.
• Familiarity with regulations and standards related to groundwater and environmental assessments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Compensation:

• Salary $125-165K depending on experience
