Description

SUMMARY:

The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation, development, analysis, verification and communication of vital financial information and business metrics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate and assist with the Company's annual budgeting process, quarterly financial forecast, monthly budget/forecast variance analysis and special projects
  • Provide financial consulting and strategic support to management including preparing financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects as required
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Analyze SKU level revenue and margin trends, which will require working with complex data sets, utilizing knowledge of cost accounting principles, and working with shop floor operators and supervisors.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, and modeling tools
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Quarterly and Monthly Financial Reports
  • Assist with pricing and cost savings initiatives
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Prepare presentations for the Executive Management Team and Board of Directors

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • 4-7 years' experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where change and driving EBITDA growth is the acceptable norm.
  • Fast learner
  • Must be able to complete work within tight timeframes to meet time sensitive deliverables
  • Organized and able to prioritize different tasks and manage time effectively
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; technical skills must be exceptional
  • ERP experience required, Epicor experience preferred
  • Database (SQL) experience not required, but preferred
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, time management skills and communication skills.
  • Accuracy in daily work and projects with ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
  • Results-oriented with willingness to take responsibility and initiative.
  • Works well with every level of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.


Requirements

REQUIRED:
  • Must have outstanding business acumen, analytic skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity and the ability to engage with senior leaders in addressing complex business issues
  • Knowledge of Financial, Operating and Manufacturing Systems
  • Understanding of Cost Accounting Principles

DESIRED:
  • Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment is a plus

PHYSICAL REQURIEMENTS:

Sitting/Standing/Walking
  • Approximately 75% is spent seated at a desk, working on the telephone or at a computer terminal
  • Approximately 25% is spent bending, squatting, standing, or moving about the work area

Speaking/Hearing
  • Ability to speak read and write English fluently
  • Clear diction, correct grammar and acute haring are necessary for effective communication with clients, vendors, management, and other employees

Vision
  • Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively use computer screens, read reports and responding to correspondence and emails

Working conditions are normal for an office environment and may require some travel. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Salary Description

$100,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
