Your Role
The Senior Director, Product Management is a pivotal leadership role within Stellarus/Blue Shield of California, accountable for overseeing all aspects of the commercialization of the Stellarus product offering roadmap, commercialization includes executing the product strategy for commercial operations including the go-to-market model, business and implementation requirements. In this leadership role you will be responsible to manage multiple product offerings segments, in the center of excellence product squad, working closely with cross-functional teams to advance products through the product development lifecycle including discovery, definition, build and launch, cross functional teams you will influence, and consult include market segments, technology, data, operations, customer success, and marketing. The portfolio of products that you will be responsible to manage will serve multiple health plan lines of business and include member experience, cost of healthcare, pharmacy, digital health record, and other offerings as determined by the strategic business direction.
In this role you will work directly for the Vice President of Product to implement best in class product offerings. You will be accountable for delivering product performance, market impact and customer adoption.
This role ensures that our product offerings (technology & services) are effectively brought to market, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved, and you will have the responsibility to improve the market position, improve customer satisfaction and contribute to the overall success of Stellarus/BSC.

Responsibilities
Your Work
In this role you will have the responsibilities listed below:
Strategic Product Roadmap Development: Accountability to advance product portfolio offering roadmaps, product development, partnerships and service teams required to commercialize product offerings. Provide portfolio leadership to product teams to identify portfolio synergies. Establishes direction and prioritization for new capabilities that increase the value of the portfolio offering and align to the portfolio product offering strategy and business case, including state and federal regulations. Define and develop a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals and market demands. Ensure product development, product launch, and marketing align with business, market, and technology strategies. Idea Generation and Validation: Accountable for making significant product portfolio strategy decisions that represent innovative problem solving to increase value of the product offerings and speed to market. Lead the ideation process, conducting market research, and engaging with stakeholders to validate product ideas and ensure market fit. Product Design and Development: Accountable for the product roadmaps with a three-five-year horizon with operational plan for year 1, representing cross functional team integration. Accountable for high performance of functional product squads to ensure the teams are advancing product capabilities required to meet market, business and user need. Oversee the design and development of the products, technology, and services ensuring they meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. Communication & Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with health plan pharmacy, engineering, technology, marketing, sales, partnerships and other departments to ensure cohesive product and service development, integration and successful launches. Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function. Works to influence others to accept view/ practices and agree or accept new concepts and approaches. Customer Engagement: Responsible for product teams successfully engaging with customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure high satisfaction with product offerings. Performance Tracking & Continuous improvement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and guide future development efforts. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing best practices in product management. Leadership & Management: Manages a team of product managers and owners responsible for advancing product requirements and creating product prototypes for user feedback and iterative agile development. Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans aligned with product offering roadmap.

Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred
- 12+ years of experience in Product Management, Management Consulting, Technology Strategy or Entrepreneurship, including 6 years of management experience gained as a team leader, supervisor or project/program manager.
- 10 years product management experience in health plans.
- 10 years product strategy experience in health plans and health systems.
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation and presentation skills
- Communication with leadership and influence
- Entrepreneurially- spirited and visionary, who is unafraid of being a trailblazer, start-up mentality, zero- to one experience building product teams and offerings
