POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Director of Radiology will be responsible for the overall leadership of Radiology services at the UWMC Montlake, UWMC Northwest, Roosevelt Clinic, Eastside Specialty Center, Outpatient Medical Center and Sports Medicine Center at Husky Stadium. In addition to Radiology, the Director has the management oversight for Vascular Diagnostics and other departments as assigned. This position is responsible for planning and directing all activities of the department, including policy and procedure development, strategic planning, budget planning, customer service excellence and employee engagement, retention, and development.

All of UW Medicine's radiologists are board-certified and specialize in a variety of areas such as neuroradiology, body radiology, interventional radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, mammography and chest radiology. Imaging findings are integrated with all clinical data to generate comprehensive and actionable patient assessments.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
General Administration/Management/Operations - Manages and administers all operational aspects necessary to maintain the Departments day-to-day operations.
Strategic Business Planning - Developing and maintaining strategic plan for the department's programs - includes preparation of long range capital plans, business analysis, proposals, and implementation of plans for new programs, analysis of changes to existing programs, planning for the recruitment and replacement of staff.
Personnel Administration - Manages the support services function of the department and must work closely with senior leadership to ensure that the department's activities in this area are effective and comply with the University and Medical Centers policies and procedures - develops and implements an organizational structure which provides the necessary level of management support for the department.
Space and Facility Administration - Assists in developing a functional space plan for the department and coordinating the support services necessary to ensure the efficient operations of the departments facilities.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration and/or Business Administration
Minimum of 5 or more years of experience leading Radiology services in both hospital and outpatient Radiology setting
Extensive understanding of Radiology and it related services
Proven leadership and operations skills
Demonstrated experience with employee engagement, retention, and development
Demonstrated experience in business planning, financial analysis and strategic planning
Demonstrated business acumen

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Expertise in an academic or otherwise complex healthcare system.
Experience leading in a union environment
