Description:
We are actively seeking a highly experienced Environmental engineer with solid waste design and landfill experience to join Roswell, Georgia office. In addition to design and permitting capabilities, candidate would also manage a team of junior engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the environmental engineering group, including project planning, resource allocation, and staff development.
* Oversee and provide technical expertise in landfill design, permitting, and construction quality assurance (CQA).
* Develop and implement solid waste management solutions, including landfill expansion and closure plans.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations related to solid waste and landfill operations.
* Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and engineering analyses for solid waste facilities.
* Provide technical guidance on geotechnical and hydrogeological aspects of landfill design.
* Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
* Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and engineering designs.
* Mentor and train junior engineers to enhance team capabilities and expertise.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Bachelor"s or Master"s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in solid waste management, landfill design, and construction quality assurance.
* Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
* Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to solid waste, including Subtitle D landfill regulations.
* Experience managing engineering teams and leading large-scale solid waste projects.
* Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
* Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
