This role will oversee the kitchen operations for our Barista Bar, Caf, and Catering services, with a full-scale restaurant set to launch in the near future. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect our commitment to luxury and exceptional dining experiences.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food preparation, and sanitation.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cost control and budget management to optimize kitchen efficiency and profitability.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Plan and execute special events and catering functions, delivering memorable culinary experiences.
- Create seasonal and specialty menus that highlight fresh, local ingredients and culinary trends.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure the highest quality ingredients and cost-effective procurement.
- Implement and oversee kitchen technology and equipment to enhance efficiency and innovation.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to keep the culinary team updated on new techniques and standards.
- Develop and maintain recipe documentation and standard operating procedures for consistency and quality control.
- Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize operations.
- Lead the kitchen in sustainability efforts, including waste reduction and eco-friendly practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role in high-end hospitality.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
- Exceptional culinary skills with a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Extensive experience in high-end hospitality environments, preferably with luxury hotels or fine dining establishments.
- Strong creative vision and ability to translate concepts into exceptional culinary experiences.
- Proficiency in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
- Advanced knowledge of international cuisines and culinary techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team with a focus on collaboration and excellence.
