Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Specialist to expand our presence in the Applied Behavior Analysis, Autism, Early Intervention, and Special Education sectors. This individual will play a key role in driving sales and identifying new regional opportunities while fostering strategic partnerships to support organizational growth. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in business development and a deep understanding of our industry's unique challenges and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new regional markets to achieve growth objectives
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets and business goals.
- Lead the development and execution of expansion strategies into new states, including securing contracts with new insurance payers and funders, navigating state-specific regulatory requirements, establishing legal frameworks for hiring employees, and ensuring compliance for conducting business with clients in new markets.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning within the ABA, Autism, Early Intervention, and Special Education industries.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with community partners, funding agencies, and referral sources to establish mutually beneficial relationships.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to build brand visibility and attract new business opportunities.
- Initiate contact with potential clients via phone calls, emails and social media
- Work with marketing to create and deliver tailored messaging to capture interest and build rapport
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including families, schools, daycares, healthcare providers, and other community organizations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Track, analyze, and report on business development performance metrics to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, and client interactions effectively.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a business development role with a company generating at least $10 million in annual revenue. Experience in the ABA, Autism, Early Intervention, or Special Education sectors is strongly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the ABA therapy landscape, Autism Spectrum Disorders, early intervention programs, and special education systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Skills: Proven ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, strong negotiation skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Travel: Willingness to travel regionally to explore new markets and maintain client relationships.
- Technology: Proficient in CRM software (Monday.com) and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Base Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 + Bonuses
