Primary Function: The IT Systems Engineer is tasked with designing, integrating, and maintaining complex systems within the organization. This involves analyzing user needs, developing system architectures, implementing solutions, and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency across hardware, software, and storage components. This role also involves gaining organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, and evaluating and selecting necessary technologies.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Collaborate with IT projects team to design, develop, and oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
  • Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for maintaining corporate systems and software.
  • Provide engineering-level expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems Analysts, IT team members, and software development teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, with hands-on experience in system building.
  • Model business and systems processes using use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
  • Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance; report findings and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop, document, communicate, and enforce policies for standardizing systems and software as necessary.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to support systems development efforts and recommend technologies that increase efficiency.
  • Document the company's existing systems architecture and technology portfolio; recommend improvements and/or alternatives.
  • Review new and existing systems design projects.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvement, develop solution, and implement by leading or participating within the improvement team
  • Perform other relevant duties as requested


Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).


Experience and Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in building and supporting large-scale Windows/Unix server environments.
  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application systems delivery, with successful service level agreement accomplishments.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of protocols, standards, operating systems, and software; experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Nutanix AHV, VMware or Hyper-V preferred
  • Superior interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products.
  • Ability to present and communicate ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Wear required protective equipment in all mandatory areas.


Physical Requirements:
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Ability to travel to other locations.
