Job Responsibilities:
- Windows Server Expertise : Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2022 (Core & Desktop Experience). Manage task sequences for deployment using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and System Center Configuration Manager.
- Security & Compliance : Apply and modify DISA STIGS, ensuring alignment with security policies. Implement Microsoft security templates across systems.
- Deployment & Imaging : Expert in Pre-Boot Execution Environment (PXE), WINPE, Windows Deployment Services, and deployment tools like AIK and ADK. Maintain and create PXE servers, automate deployments, and manage system configurations.
- Scripting & Automation : Proficient in PowerShell scripting, system automation, and configuration using Microsoft Sysprep and other deployment tools.
- Active Directory & Network Services : Engineer solutions involving Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, digital certificates, and multi-factor authentication.
- Server Management : Manage bare-metal and virtual machines with tools like Hyper-V, SQL Server, and Windows Deployment Services. Handle server issues, performance bottlenecks, and ensure system optimization.
- Documentation : Develop and maintain technical and engineering documentation, including step-by-step build guides and user manuals for deployment systems.
- Security & Backup : Ensure high levels of system availability, backup strategies, security protocols, and system redundancy.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance : Monitor and address server issues, implement recovery processes, and improve server performance using both native and third-party tools.
- Clearance : Top Secret, with willingness to sit for CI Polygraph.
- Experience : Minimum of 10 years in Windows infrastructure design, implementation, and support.
- Education : Master's degree preferred.
- Technical Skills : In-depth understanding of networks (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP), storage systems, and LAN/WAN applications. Strong PowerShell scripting abilities.
- Support : Provide 4th-level support and collaborate with vendors and IT personnel for issue resolution.
- Hybrid Environments : Experience with both virtualized and cloud-based platforms.
- Knowledge Transfer : Conduct training for government staff on technology use and best practices.
