ADGA is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to provide the services of a subject matter expert (SME), supporting systems engineering requirements (Tactical Command & Control Info System Modernization project) for our client:

Duties will include:
  • Develop and maintain the TacC2ISM System Engineering Management plan.
  • Perform TacC2IS requirements analysis and definition.
  • Collaborate with other technical and engineering staff on project requirements or architecture adjustments.
  • Recommend and evaluate system and/or SoS engineering changes and perform an impact analysis.
  • Conduct "buy and try" evaluations as required during project definition.
  • Support TacC2ISM system testing.
  • Provide support to system integration.
  • Provide support to the development of stand operation procedure documentation.
  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid PSPC Secret level clearance.
  • Consultants - need to be registered with the Controlled Goods Program, and Employees will have it processed by ADGA.
  • Knowledge of land communication systems (military) is considered a strong asset, but key is understanding and knowledge in DND capital project standup and documentation requirements. (DND processes, and planning requirements, costing etc.)
  • Must have Engineering Bachelor's degree (and proof) in software, computer, systems, electrical or a suitable engineering or technical field required to support Land C4ISR.
  • Minimum of 5 years (60 months) of demonstrated experience as a System Engineer on Military C4ISR systems. (Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance)
  • Minimum of 8 years (96 months) of demonstrated experience within the last 10 years (120 months) in the preparation of technical documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Info Technology/Info Management or Engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years (96 months) of demonstrated experience in each of the assessment area's criteria:
    • Communicating information technology frameworks/strategies to management and technical staff.
    • Communicating system engineering direction for projects or systems.
    • Providing advice, guidance, and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-marking of senior management.
    • Leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks, or strategies.
    • Performing strategic, operations or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.
  • Minimum of 6 years (72 months) of demonstrated experience within the last 8 years (96 months) in system engineering in a minimum of 4 of this assessment area's criteria below:
    • Demonstrated systems engineering work experience analyzing, designing, and/or implementing solutions in one or more of the following areas:
      • Command and control communication and information systems within a distributed platform environment.
      • Command and control communication and information systems within a client/server environment.
      • Military ISTAR systems.
      • Joint or Allied C4ISR Interoperability solutions using NATO Standardization Agreements; and
      • System management solutions (tools and processes) for communication & information systems and/or ISTAR systems.
    • Demonstrated work experience in system integration, verification, and validation, for hardware and software components (COTS and/or custom developed) in new or existing systems.
    • Demonstrated systems engineering experience working on communication and information systems (Hardware, Software and Network) or Specialty engineering (Security, Modeling, Simulation, STAR).
    • Demonstrated work experience in system engineering within a Real-Time or Distributed Systems environment.
    • Demonstrated work experience in system life-cycle management of communication and information systems, or ISTAR systems.
