WORK SCHEDULE
100% FTE - 40 hours per week
Day Shift - UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 08:00 - 17:00 (PST), Monday-Friday
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing intermediate to advanced level programming in the development and implementation of interface systems with emphasis on minimizing support and maintenance requirements
Implementing interfaces in UW Medicine's interface environment ensuring integrity of data and minimizing disruption to customers
Providing intermediate to advanced level support and maintenance of interfaces with a focus on real-time interfaces based on TCP/IP connectivity and include batch interfaces based on the SCP and other protocols
Participating in and leading small to intermediate scale Data Integration Services Team projects and ITS department level projects using project management principles to plan, design, test, execute, and monitor efforts necessary to enhance production systems and implement interfaces
Participating in team process improvements and personal development activities
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
4+ years of experience which must include:
2+ years of experience with a major electronic health record system with an understanding of hospital/clinic workflows such as scheduling/Reg/ADT, orders of ancillary systems, and patient care
2+ years of professional IT experience with successful systems analysis and/or programming on mission-critical, clinical information systems
2+ years of progressively responsible, professional IT experience designing, programming, maintaining, implementing, and optimizing system interfaces, including clinical information using HL7/X12
2+ years of professional IT experience designing, developing, and maintaining database technologies including extensive understanding of database structures, data definitions, and data relationships
2+ years of applied experience with the Cloverleaf interface engine or Epic Bridges. This position requires both certifications listed below; one must be current at the time of application. If not certified in both, the outstanding certification must be achieved within 1 year of the start date:
o Minimum level 1 Cloverleaf certification
o Epic Bridges certification
2+ years of experience providing EHR systems application maintenance/support, configuration, and implementation
