JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Family Support is responsible for developing, implementing and growing family support programs focused on prevention and intervention to make a lasting impact on at-risk children and families. This includes but is not limited to all evidence-based interventions and, if applicable, the implementation, operation and oversight of Family Resource Center(s). The position is essential in building relationships in the community to establish and maintain OMC as a first-choice referral option. Establishing partnerships with churches in the area to provide wraparound services for families is also critical to the work OMC is doing. The position provides leadership and direction to staff for program coordination and ensuring compliance with all legal and contractual requirements. Additionally, the Senior Director has responsibility for the program budget(s), establishing and meeting department metrics, and communicating effectively with leadership and departments throughout the organization. This specific position is over a brand new program area that is being built up, and needs someone that is excited about the opportunity to take ownership of the area's future success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement programs that provide wrap-around support to vulnerable children and struggling families, including organizing volunteers, gathering resources, and ensuring families are well supported.
Identify and pursue contracts and funding for the area's prevention and intervention services, collaborating with the Executive Director.
Develop and manage department goals, work with reporting staff, if applicable, to achieve them, and provide leadership and guidance for success.
Build impactful and lasting relationships with community partners and local churches to create and maintain credibility as first-choice support providers.
Represent One More Child in the community for engagement or events, creating connections and supporting goals to build relationships.
Ensure compliance with all provisions and requirements of all contracts or program funders, as well as One More Child, accreditation, agency, government or legal standards.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with community agencies and other referral and funding sources, actively building additional relationships.
Plan, monitor and evaluate the annual budget and monthly expenditures of assigned Support Programs ensuring that program expenditures remain within the budgeted allocations and that budgeted income is billed and received.
Oversee the collection of all available third-party payments and service fees in assigned geographical area, as needed.
Provide relevant information or updates to the Executive Director, including, but not limited to, metrics, program performance, staffing, professional development or services.
Participate in continuing education opportunities, as assigned or approved.

ESSENTIAL SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Handle all aspects of staffing related to direct reports that manage the respective programs and teams in assigned areas of responsibility, such as hiring, coaching, evaluating, performance management and leadership.
Ensure work is being performed in compliance with applicable contracts and guidelines.
Ensure budgets for individual departments are being met and aligned with Family Support's overall budget.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Four or more years working with families in the child welfare system or high-risk population families.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in social work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Two or more years of supervisory experience in a nonprofit setting.
Experience handling program oversite and budgeting responsibilities.

Availability to work flexible hours, based on position needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands to touch, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The position requires standing for extended periods of time for events, presentations, or moving between locations. Further, the ability to set up for events, moving basic furniture and supplies, boxes or equipment up to 30 pounds is needed. Further, the employee is required to be able to drive throughout assigned areas, as fly as needed for overnight travel.

Job activities are performed in a typical office environment, as well as out in the community. Work in the community may mean encountering weather or other conditions. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and travel throughout the assigned area, as well as occasional overnight travel to the Lakeland HQ office.
