Job Description

A key part of Chubb's North America Transactional Risk (TR) team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the TR portfolio with key brokers and clients through your role as an underwriting analyst.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk assessment: Prepare and refer risk reviews and NBIL drafts in line with our appetite, guidelines and standards through review of sale and purchase agreements, financial statements, management presentations and due diligence reports
  • Procedures: assist with NDA reviews, file management, underwriting counsel liaison and provide live deal support to senior underwriters.
  • Operational Management: collaborate with our operations department to ensure local systems logging and bound deals booking.
  • Management Information: assist with submission and tracking for effective capture to better inform our market strategy and risk selection.
  • Producer Management: develop and build a broker network.
  • Product Development: contribute to the development of the Global TR strategy, product suite, approach and processes as it grows.
  • Team Development: maintains a collegial environment; collaborates with senior underwriters and fellow analysts
  • Chubb Representative: to represent and promote the success of the Global TR practice and Chubb as a whole.


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • 1 -2 years of RWI analyst experience or other insurance underwriting experience. Continues to develop technical, underwriting and broader business skills.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of the TR insurance market, brokers and competitors is a plus
  • Solid experience of dealing with brokers and clients.
  • Results driven with ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative.
  • Naturally curious and extremely detail oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and deal-time pressures.
  • Willing to work in multicultural / multinational environment, which includes working within a fully integrated global team of colleagues in Toronto and London.
  • Can-do mentality and able to work within Chubb underwriting guidelines.

The pay range for the role is $62,200 to $105,800. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
