Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PCB Designer to support the development of advanced radio communication equipment. The role involves utilizing design software to create, modify, and validate PCB designs for rigid, flexible, and rigid flex printed circuit boards, employing the latest board technologies. The PCB Designer will also mentor junior designers and contribute to process improvements. This role reports to the PCB Design Manager.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PCB Designer to support the development of advanced radio communication equipment. The role involves utilizing design software to create, modify, and validate PCB designs for rigid, flexible, and rigid flex printed circuit boards, employing the latest board technologies. The PCB Designer will also mentor junior designers and contribute to process improvements. This role reports to the PCB Design Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize layout software to incorporate schematic, mechanical, and manufacturing inputs into new and revised HDI PCB designs.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional design team to resolve fabrication, assembly, and test issues identified during the manufacturing process.
- Create PCB stackups and model-controlled impedance.
- Design complex PCB layouts using RF, digital, analog, power supply, and mixed technologies.
- Perform peer reviews of complex PCB layout designs.
- Develop and maintain PCB layout design guidelines.
- Lead the assessment and implementation of new or upgraded PCB design software.
- Document and implement best practices for the PCB design process, including templates, checklists, and procedures.
- Mentor and guide less experienced PCB Designers.
- Respond to supplier support requests when technical questions arise related to specific PCB part numbers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant PCB design experience, or a Graduate degree with at least 7 years of related experience. Alternatively, 13+ years of related PCB design experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the PCB design value chain, including schematics, materials, fabrication, assembly, and related design and simulation software tools.
- Familiarity with PCB design elements such as schematic, BOM, mechanical, fabrication, assembly, and related documentation.
- Experience mentoring and onboarding less experienced PCB Designers.
- Experience with peer reviews of PCB layout designs.
- Knowledge of evaluating and upgrading PCB design-related software.
