Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the defense of employment law claims including wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment cases.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law issues to support litigation strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Attend court hearings and depositions, representing clients effectively and professionally.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategies.
- Advise clients on compliance with employment laws and regulations, including PAGA claims.
- Maintain case files and documentation in an organized manner, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the state bar association.
- 4+ years of experience in employment law or related civil litigation.
- Strong understanding of general civil litigation principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop litigation strategies and conduct effective legal research.
- Familiarity with PAGA and other employment-related statutes is preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
