Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Associate Defense Attorney specializing in Employment Law to join our legal team. The successful candidate will assist in defending clients against employment-related claims and provide legal advice on employment law matters. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base and engage in challenging litigation cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the defense of employment law claims including wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law issues to support litigation strategies.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Attend court hearings and depositions, representing clients effectively and professionally.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategies.
• Advise clients on compliance with employment laws and regulations, including PAGA claims.
• Maintain case files and documentation in an organized manner, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the state bar association.
• 4+ years of experience in employment law or related civil litigation.
• Strong understanding of general civil litigation principles and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop litigation strategies and conduct effective legal research.
• Familiarity with PAGA and other employment-related statutes is preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
