The Universidad del Sagrado Corazn (Sagrado) invites applications for the position of Chief Organizational Development and Human Resources Officer. This executive-level role reports directly to the President and serves as a key member of the University's senior leadership team. This position is responsible for advancing an integrated strategy that supports a healthy, mission-aligned organizational culture; attracts and retains top talent; and ensures the equitable and efficient administration of human resources services and policies.
The University seeks a dynamic, empathetic, and visionary leader to continue the transformation of its human resources and organizational development operations through the development of innovative approaches to talent development and institutional culture, and the digitalization and streamlining of HR processes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; doctoral degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible HR and organizational leadership experience, preferably in higher education or mission-driven institutions.
- Proven experience leading modernization efforts, including the implementation of HR technology systems and digital workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to shape and sustain an open, receptive, and values-driven organizational culture.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deep empathy and emotional intelligence, balanced by the ability to make and communicate firm decisions.
- Strong working knowledge of labor law and employment practices in Puerto Rico.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Serve as chief strategist and advisor to the President on all matters related to organizational development and human resources.
- Design and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the University's strategic goals and its mission rooted in the Catholic tradition of human dignity, solidarity, and justice.
- Champion organizational culture initiatives to foster a sense of belonging, purpose, and excellence among all personnel.
- Lead efforts to digitize and modernize HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, performance evaluation, and training.
- Oversee talent acquisition and professional development strategies that attract highly qualified professionals aligned with the University's mission and values, and build institutional capacity and promote individual growth.
- Lead the continuous development of competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs, and performance management systems that promote accountability, transparency, and individual growth.
- Develop and maintain succession plans for critical operational areas to ensure long-term institutional continuity and resilience.
- Build trusting relationships across all levels of the organization, engaging with empathy, clarity, and firmness, and promote feedback mechanisms to strengthen organizational climate and proactively address employee concerns or conflicts.
- Ensure the fair and consistent implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance and assess and mitigate organizational risks related to workplace safety, emotional well-being, and compliance.
- Leverage human resources data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor organizational health and make evidence-based decisions related to talent, engagement, and performance.
