Preconstruction Manager

We're seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join a leading general contractor in the Atlanta area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and has proven experience in hard bidding and client-facing preconstruction efforts. You'll play a critical role in shaping early project success, working closely with clients, architects, and internal teams from initial concept through final estimate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the preconstruction process for assigned projects
• Prepare detailed hard bid estimates and competitive pricing proposals
• Review plans, specifications, and other project documents to develop accurate scopes of work
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors
• Interface directly with clients and design teams, representing the company in meetings and presentations
• Provide value engineering solutions and budget management during the design phase
• Track market pricing, construction trends, and subcontractor relationships

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in preconstruction and estimating, preferably in commercial construction
• Strong hard bid and negotiated proposal experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lead preconstruction efforts and build trust with clients and design teams
• Proficient in preconstruction software
