We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial law and bankruptcy, assisting clients through various legal processes and providing expert advice. Your role will involve supporting senior attorneys in litigation and transactional matters while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents for commercial litigation and bankruptcy cases.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to commercial and bankruptcy law.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents as required in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.
- Support senior attorneys in court appearances and client meetings.
- Manage client communications and maintain case files in an organized manner.
- Stay updated on changes in commercial and bankruptcy law to provide accurate advice to clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the New York State Bar Association; bonus points for admission to NJ and/or CT bars
- Strong understanding of commercial law and bankruptcy law, particularly Chapter 7 and Chapter 11.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple cases effectively.
