Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze patient safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and manage improvement initiatives to prevent errors and accidents.
- Conduct safety training for staff to promote best practices in patient safety.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses that compromise patient safety and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with leaders to influence change and achieve sustainable improvements in patient safety.
- Foster a culture of safety that prioritizes the well-being of patients and minimizes risk.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a Healthcare-related field
- Within 30 days of hire: California Fire and Life Safety Card (National Organization)
- Five years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or a Healthcare-related field
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) upon hire
- 2 years of experience in patient safety.
Skills and Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - BSN or Healthcare-related field
- CPPS - Certified Professional in Patient Safety
- Within 30 days - California Fire & Life Safety Card
- 2 years of experience in patient safety.
