About the Job
Reporting to the Global Head of New Product Planning (NPP) for Sanofi Neurology Franchise, the Director NPP Neurology will play a critical role in the future growth of the franchise; in particular, he/she will (1) leverage his/her deep understanding of global markets to inform the commercial strategy and brand development for the internal R&D pipeline drug candidates from discovery/preclinical through proof of concept; (2) support inorganic growth by leading the commercial assessment of external opportunities (In-licensing, collaborations, M&A) , and (3) work closely with Neurology senior management to lead, coordinate or support the development and articulation of the Franchise, and portfolio strategy.
The Director NPP Neurology will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders across the organization including Research, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Medical, Business Operations, Commercial, R&D Portfolio Strategy and Business Development. In particular, the Director NPP Neurology will closely partner with Market Access, Health Economics, Forecasting, Market Research and Competitive Intelligence to deliver the commercial assessments and strategies.
The position is based in Cambridge, MA unless otherwise agreed to by the Global Head of NPP Neuro.

Main Responsibilities:
- Represent the Global Neurology Business Franchise on pipeline assets: As a core member of the Global Project Team (GPT), actively contribute and represent the Global Business Franchise to provide commercial inputs to effectively develop and commercialize the drug candidates; support the team in preparing strategic assessments and deliverables, including presentations, to governance committees (TARC, DWG, IDCC). Participate within GPT to develop robust asset-specific Integrated Development Plans (IDP).
- Market understanding: Integrate market analytics to understand current and future disease epidemiology, market dynamics, patient segmentation, treatment paradigm, patient journey, unmet medical needs, competition, market access and pricing environment, identify key value drivers and lead the development of target product profiles (TPP) reflecting these, identify POCC criteria, brand positioning, partner with Market Access to define the value proposition and pricing assumptions, develop forecasting assumptions and revenue projections, in close collaborating with the Forecasting team.
- Translate insights: Generate required data and insights to support robust assessments. Liaise extensively with internal and external experts to evaluate products, pathways, and treatment approaches. Translate key insights from scientific experts (internal R&D colleagues + external opinion leaders) into clear, actionable strategies for the franchise.
- Business Development strategies: Support development and execution of Neurology Business Development strategies, providing commercial leadership and commercial assessments of external opportunities (Business Development, M&A), from identification & triage of opportunities, business case development, due diligence, to negotiation, financial modeling and contracting (where applicable).
- Therapeutic Area Strategy (TAS): Drive the development of the Neurology TAS ensuring submission of an aligned and clear articulation of the strategy across Research, Clinical Development and Commercial.
- Transition Milestones: Anticipate and prepare for development stage gate milestones and a Transition Package to Global Brand Lead (GBL), with proposed path to launch plan.

About You
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree required (MBA, MS or PhD in life science preferred) 7+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical industry experience, preferably with 3 to 5 years new product planning and/or consulting experience in biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, planning, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Driven and result-oriented; Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize work with a sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated the ability to work in a matrixed environment with many cross-functional partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly adjust to changing priorities.
- Experienced or be familiar with the process of drug development from discovery research to commercialization.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize and deliver a clear overview of the strategy, opportunity and risks for Sanofi executives.
