Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Manager - Packaging Operations to lead and optimize our slitting, converting/pouching, and secondary packaging with serialization teams. This pivotal role ensures seamless operations, product quality, and regulatory compliance within our fast-paced CDMO environment. You will be a key driver of efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement, shaping the future of LTS's pharmaceutical packaging capabilities.
As Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee daily packaging operations, manage personnel and resources across multiple shifts and buildings, and drive operational excellence through cross-functional collaboration. You will ensure strict adherence to cGMP, GDP, FDA, and DEA regulations while implementing strategic initiatives to enhance packaging efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in West St. Paul, MN. (1st Shift, 8:00 to 4:30)

Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging Operations Leadership & Execution: Oversee daily slitting, converting/pouching, and secondary packaging with serialization operations, ensuring reliable, efficient, and high-quality output. Lead and develop packaging teams, optimizing staffing models and fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
- Capacity & Resource Optimization: Forecast operational needs, aligning workforce planning, equipment utilization, and material availability. Partner with Maintenance teams to develop proactive equipment reliability strategies.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, GDP, and serialization requirements. Lead comprehensive batch record reviews and support packaging-related audits.
- Process Improvement & Innovation: Identify and implement operational efficiencies, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and stay informed on emerging packaging technologies.
- Root Cause & CAPA Management: Lead investigations related to packaging non-conformances and drive corrective and preventive action implementation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Engagement: Partner with Quality, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Project Management. Act as the primary packaging operations liaison for customers.
- Operational Reporting & Administration: Oversee administrative responsibilities, provide operational metrics and reports, and drive adherence to training requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly manage 3-4 Shift Supervisors in multi-shift operations.
- Indirectly oversee 40-60 packaging operators spanning multiple shifts.
- Provide leadership in staff development, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing or other FDA-regulated industries.
- 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
