EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or a closely related field. Closely related degrees MUST include the completion of at least 18 semester/27 quarter college-level units of chemistry, including lecture and laboratory classes in both organic and general chemistry.
NOTE:
EXPERIENCE: You must meet ONE of the following options:
Two years of full-time professional-level industrial waste pretreatment inspection experience applying regulations at industrial facilities which must include ALL of the following:
One year of full-time professional-level industrial waste inspection experience as stated in Option 1 AND one additional year of full-time professional-level experience in ONE of the following options, as a primary job function:

LICENSE: A valid California Class C Driver License is required at the time of hire.

- City of San Diego employees using Out-of-Class Assignment (OCA) experience to qualify must submit written documentation signed by their appointing authority or payroll specialist, detailing the work performed, dates, and total number of qualifying OCA hours. OCA experience without the required documentation will NOT be considered.
