Sign-On Bonus: We are offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for this position, distributed in two payments:

  • $5,000 after six (6) months of continuous employment
  • $5,000 after twelve (12) months of continuous employment

VRC Engineered Solutions, a leading manufacturer of custom molded rubber, plastic, and sealing components, is seeking an experienced Tooling Mold Maker to join our team in Woodinville, Washington. We serve a diverse range of industries including aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, oil and gas, marine, and medical. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining molds used in our presses, ensuring high-quality production and efficiency.

Position Hours: Monday through Friday, 7AM-3:30PM (flexible)

Responsibilities

  • Construct and repair production molds.
  • Operate tool room equipment including CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM's.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and dimensional tolerance.
  • Recommend modifications for function and construction of molds based on tool designs analysis.
  • Prepare injection molds for qualification in molding machine.
  • Use software to examine 3D mold designs during the build and assembly of molds.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using various measuring instruments.
  • Communicate tool issues with Tooling Manager and department leads.
  • Document necessary information for each tool.
  • Perform mold troubleshooting and maintenance, when required.


Qualifications

  • Journeyman Tool & Die Maker.
  • 5 to 10 years of plastic injection mold experience.
  • Experience with CAM Systems, CNC mills, and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine).
  • Proficiency in Mastercam, Solid Works, Charmilles, and Okuma machine is a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing related equipment.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with manual machining operations.
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze engineering designs and computer-based CAD plans and models.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize project requirements.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.

Hourly Range: $46.24/hour to $52/hour USD DOE
