Description:
EGS seeks qualified applicants for a Construction Project Manager position in its client companies Civil Design & Construction department with the company's Nuclear Power division. This department is responsible for construction of Spent Fuel Storage Installations at various Nuclear Power Plants across the United States and worldwide.
Position is located Camden, NJ and Various Nuclear power plants and comes with top competitive salaries, great benefits and relocation assistance is available. Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
The candidate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Overseeing all construction activities at the project work site
* Managing the construction workflow process
* Actively engaging with the Construction Team, the client and all contractors
* Assisting Corporate Project Manager with task completion and purchase order management
* Clarifying scope of work, and preparing cost estimates and proposals when necessary
* Evaluating projects for constructability and value-engineer cost savings
* Establishing, monitoring, communicating and maintaining project schedules utilizing contemporary scheduling software
* Negotiating contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure that all project goals are being addressed
* Proactively identifying issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions
* Determining and implementing the appropriate level of project control (i.e.: submittal logs, change order logs, etc.)
* Managing project costs to ensure budgets are maintained. Documenting and managing changes in the work to ensure the interests of all stakeholders in the project are reasonably met
* Documenting activity conclusion; managing the project closeout process to ensure timely completion
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
* B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
* 10+ years' experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor engaged in general building construction
* Demonstrated experience estimating and managing self-performed work activities and subcontracted work
* Strong written/verbal communication skills
* A working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work
* High level of proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry
* Current safety credentials to include OSHA 30, 1st Aid and CPR
* Nuclear Power Plant experience preferred but not required
