JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to develop and execute the overall marketing strategy and communication architecture, including media strategies, digital & social media, PR, and brand promotional partnerships.
  • Influence the vision of our organizational infrastructure and support us in hiring and leading a team of marketers.
  • Partner and support Operations, Revenue & Sales teams to identify and implement revenue impacting and awareness strategies for both SHG and our diverse group of independent and branded assets.
  • Identify best in class marketing partners, PR firms, digital agencies, website designers, etc. As needed liaison partner searches with hotel, ownership, and corporate leadership coordinating presentations, owning communication, and negotiating contracts.
  • Develop best practices and roadmap for our operations team and field marketers to activate our hotels with effective and exciting programming.
  • Lead branding efforts in partnership with property ownership for both one-off and collections of hotels.
  • Select, Liaison, and provide strategic direction to our third-party partners, vendors, and agencies.
  • Conduct consumer research, competitive analysis, and attend industry conferences to identify unique opportunities expanding properties partnerships and enhancing customer experience.
  • Support management of on-property marketing managers (responsible for content development, social media, PR, on-site activations, and package execution)
  • Liaison with our F&B teams to develop marketing strategies to drive outlet awareness and revenues
  • Support rollout of new technology and content initiatives to ensure proper integration with marketing for tracking and CRM capabilities
  • Build annual marketing plans and budgets and track progress accordingly throughout the year


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business, or Marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years in progressive marketing leadership experience
  • Leadership experience in managing teams
  • Preferred participation in HSMAI or other industry associations that allow themselves to be a though leader with marketing.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products,
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
