Role Description:

The Institutional Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a key role in expanding Coinsquare Capital Markets alpha's client base, strengthening existing relationships, and driving revenue growth. This individual will facilitate institutional sales efforts, ensuring a strong and scalable sales pipeline aligned with aggressive growth targets. Additionally, they will collaborate closely with the trading desk to facilitate trades for high-volume clients, ensuring seamless execution and superior client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Revenue Growth: Drive business development initiatives to expand the Capital Markets Sales & Trading division, with a strong focus on institutional clients.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a targeted sales growth plan in Canada, focusing on family offices, the crypto ecosystem, and venture capital funds.
  • Process Optimization: Implement and refine a structured business development process, leveraging CRM systems and optimizing sales campaign effectiveness.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring high client retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaboration with Trading Desk: Work closely with the trading team to ensure smooth trade execution, competitive pricing, and exceptional client service.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to identify market trends, enhance sales performance, and optimize client acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Brand & Market Presence: Represent Coinsquare Capital Markets at industry events, webinars, and client meetings to strengthen brand awareness and market positioning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, operations, compliance, and technology teams to enhance the overall client experience and improve operational efficiency.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experienced preferred in institutional sales and trading, preferably within digital assets, cryptocurrency, or financial services.
  • OTC Knowledge: Familiarity with the OTC trade lifecycle, pricing, execution methods, and settlement processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully building and maintaining institutional client relationships, with a focus on sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital asset and traditional markets.
  • Experience in trading or knowledge of cryptocurrency is highly beneficial.
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach and a passion for blockchain technology.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and build trust with institutional clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet ambitious sales targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, sales pipeline management, and performance tracking to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Crypto/DeFi Interest: Passion for digital assets, blockchain, and emerging financial technologies.
