Overview
The applicant will perform strategic planning and policy implementation for the Division Director at the United States Space Force (USSF) Narrowband SATCOM Acquisition Delta.
Responsibilities
- Perform strategic planning and policy implementation for the Division Director at the United States Space Force (USSF) Narrowband SATCOM Acquisition Delta.
- Develop and evaluate new organizational concepts, assessing impacts across technical, financial, morale, and integration dimensions within the enterprise.
- Create and execute Space Force and mission-level acquisition strategies, plans, and concepts to support customers strategic and tactical objectives.
- Innovate new organizational visions and messaging, introducing cross-cutting concepts to enhance portfolio management.
- Provide acquisition subject matter expert (SME) advice and support to the CGN Front Office Group (FOG), including the preparation of reports, papers, and briefings aligned with The Tongue and Quill and SSC communication policies and templates.
- Manage complex tasks with a focus on coordination, discretion, and strategic insight.
- Coordinate, consolidate, analyze, and oversee administrative and office management processes to ensure timely and effective actions, suspenses, and responses.
- Engage with CGN leadership to develop, monitor and support strategic communication activities, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Offer actionable recommendations to program leadership on deliverables and services, presenting multiple options to enhance decision-making aligned with public interest and program responsibilities.
- Provide information, analysis, and recommendations to effectively align portfolio acquisitions, manpower, and funding for comprehensive portfolio management and integration.
- Evaluate acquisition documentation for policy adherence, strategy alignment, technical approach consistency, and feasibility within cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
- Ensure synchronization and integration of all strategic planning efforts, contributing to Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development.
- Develop and maintain a master schedule of planning activities with detailed timelines, coordinating with leadership to proactively manage the planning process.
- Maintain stakeholder communication and coordination.
Skills Required
- The position requires at least 15 years of government acquisition experience of which 5 years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of space programs.
- PMP/DAWIA PM Level II certification or equivalent required
- Applicant should be proficient in the use of MS office applications, i.e., MS Outlook, Project, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Excel.
- Superior verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
- Applicant must be able to create, cultivate, and communicate innovative concepts and Courses of Action (COAs) anchored by expert analysis developed by the applicant.
- Extensive program management experience, strategic communication/planning experience, and senior-level government space acquisition experience.
- Possess strong knowledge of the DoD protocol, acquisition, operational, and project management processes and policies.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
- Salary range: $100,000-$160,000/year depending on experience and qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
