Job Title: Audiologist
Job Specialty: Audiology

Shift: 3x10-hour shifts, Monday to Wednesday
Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week

License: Current, unrestricted, and valid state license to practice; preferred in Arizona
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have:
- Degree from an accredited Audiology program (Master's or Doctoral degree)
- CCA preferred
Job Description:
- Provide services to all age groups, from babies to geriatric patients, including hearing tests, evaluations, and hearing aid fittings.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, determine overall findings, and diagnose patients using history and appropriate tests.
- Administer and interpret screening, assessment, and diagnostic procedures, including air conduction, bone conduction, speech audiometry, and acoustic emittance (impedance) tests.
- Design rehabilitation programs to assist patients in identifying sounds.
- Measure hearing ability and the severity of hearing loss in individuals of all ages.
- Assess the benefit of amplification devices such as hearing aids.
- Educate individuals on the use, care, and maintenance of hearing aids or other assistive listening devices.
- Maintain knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, and workshop participation.
- Participate in departmental orientation, on-the-job training, and quality assurance programs and initiatives.
- Engage in various educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identify and discuss performance or training needs with a supervisor.
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Audiology methods, practices, and techniques.
- Skills in assessment, evaluation, and treatment of individuals.
- Effective listening and communication skills.
- Ability to make diagnoses, choose, initiate, and modify therapies.
- Capability to work with patients of varying ages.
- Ability to quickly change priorities based on requirements.
- Proficiency in applying critical thinking for escalation/triage to the proper healthcare professional.
- Competence to discuss practices, techniques, and procedures in lay terms.
- Ability to manage changing priorities to accomplish tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Clear communication skills necessary to perform essential functions.
