Duration: 8 months with possible extension
Key Responsibilities :
Plan and execute Environmental and EMI Qualification tests on Avionics products
Plan and execute Design Verification testing on Avionics products
Prepare test reports for regulatory compliance
Assist in product certification for customer & regulatory (e.g., FAA) acceptance
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment
Lead obsolete-component replacement investigations
Required Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
4+ years' experience in Hardware/Product Engineering.
Experience in Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with Product Safety principals for Airborne Electronic Hardware
Familiarity with Product Qualification guidance standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, etc.)
Basic knowledge of electronic display principles (e.g., LCD)
Experience with complex digital circuit design and debugging
Experience with serial data communication standards (ARINC 429, RS232, I2C)
Basic knowledge of hardware engineering standards and specifications
Experience with optical testing/evaluation instrumentation for electronic display characterization
