Description:

What you'll do at OhioMHAS :
  • Functions as floating unit psychiatrist providing care to assigned patients: admits patient; completes psychiatric work-up on assigned patients.
  • Responsible for development of patients' individualized plan of treatment; heads Treatment Team; provides patient with or ensures patient receives Informed Consent on medications; request second opinions, capacity assessments, etc. as necessary
  • Provides medical record documentation that meets TJC standards & requirements for Medicare reimbursement; facilitate & support Mental Health Recovery for individual with severe persistent mental illness.
This is an hourly position covered by the SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union) , with a pay range of #P1 on the SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule . Normal working hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. This position is located within our Northwest Behavioral Healthcare Campus at 930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614 .

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certificate to practice medicine per Section 4731.13 of Revised Code; satisfactory completion of residency training program in psychiatry, as approved by the residency review committee of the American Medical Association, the committee on post-graduate education of the American Osteopathic Association or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry or has been recognized as a psychiatrist by the Ohio State Medical Association or the Ohio Osteopathic Association on the basis of formal training & 5 or more yrs. of medical practice limited to psychiatry per Section 5122.01(E) of Revised Code.
