About the Role: As the Special Assets Officer, you will be instrumental in executing strategic recovery plans while fostering strong borrower relationships. Your role will involve evaluating distressed loans, negotiating repayment structures, and partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to minimize risk and optimize recovery. Key Responsibilities:
Loan Restructuring & Negotiation - Develop and negotiate loan modifications to align borrower needs with bank interests.
Client Relationship Management - Work with distressed borrowers to assess financial health and create repayment solutions.
Financial & Credit Risk Analysis - Evaluate loan structures, assess risk, and recommend recovery strategies.
Portfolio Oversight & Strategy - Manage a portfolio of classified assets, analyzing business viability and repayment options.
Leadership & Collaboration - Mentor commercial lending teams and support risk management strategies.
Market Awareness - Monitor economic and industry trends to inform lending and recovery decisions.
Legal & Compliance Coordination - Partner with legal teams on loan proposals and regulatory matters.
Loan Documentation & Compliance - Ensure accuracy and adherence to banking policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years in loan structuring, credit analysis, and distressed asset management.
Financial & Analytical Acumen: Strong risk assessment and recovery planning skills.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in financial modeling and loan structuring tools.
Negotiation & Problem-Solving Skills: Experience in loan modifications and workouts.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of loan workout regulations and compliance.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to engage borrowers, legal teams, and executives.
Salary: $110,000 - $125,000
