Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to install, maintain, and coordinate the use of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) for our organization or customers. This role involves analyzing and resolving information assurance-related technical challenges, implementing network security solutions, and ensuring optimal network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and manage LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Analyze and resolve information assurance-related technical issues, providing engineering and technical support.
• Design, develop, and implement secure network solutions that meet security and operational requirements.
• Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments for systems and applications throughout the system development life cycle (SDLC).
• Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment to enhance network efficiency.
• Enforce security protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Install and configure network software and monitor network performance for optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner.
• Implement and coordinate network policies, procedures, and standards to align with business needs.
• Provide training and support to end users on network functionality and best practices.
• Maintain and support moderately complex networks, ensuring high availability and security.
• May lead and direct the work of junior network engineers or team members.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in network administration, security, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with standard networking concepts, protocols, and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan and accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with network security frameworks and best practices.
• Knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Certifications (Preferred/Required):

• Security+, CISSP, or equivalent industry-standard certifications.
• Certification as a Network Engineer (CCNA, CCNP, or similar) is a plus.
