Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS) is seeking an O&M Performance Engineer to join our growing renewable energy team. This role is essential in ensuring optimal performance of utility-scale solar (PV) sites across the U.S. through data analysis, troubleshooting, and remote coordination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create Photovoltaic (PV) site performance assessments including production and forecast simulations to be delivered to site owners.
- Maximize the energy production of the solar sites across the U.S. by analyzing production and determine the factors impacting production and resolution.
- Identify problems in the solar system and coordinate service with field staff and on-site service. Analyze site conditions using our web-based and proprietary software tools to determine possible failures on the project and contact/support our field technicians.
- Report and record deviations from specified operating parameters. Develop and use troubleshooting flowcharts for solving issues. Perform remote troubleshooting and tracking Operations & Maintenance (O&M) dispatches.
- Analyze large data sets generated by PV Plants, create graphs identifying trends and outliers, and perform numerical analyses of the data. Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports for clients showing site production and analysis.
- Communicate with clients regarding ongoing maintenance activity and notify them of any site failures.
- Provide support to management.
- Telecommuting permitted within area of intended employment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Solar Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Or related plus 1 year of related experience.
