Job Overview

M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN is seeking BC/BE Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Med/Ped physician to see patients exclusively in the hospital setting. Physician-led inpatient Hospitalists care for specialty patients as part of a well-established, co-management structure. M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center is a community hospital with a high level of services, certified as a level IV trauma center. Semi-open ICU model with ability to co-manage with Tele-Intensivists. Procedures and vent management are not required. Open to all levels of experience.

Practice Details:
  • Flexible FTE: 0.8-1.0
    • Block schedule of 7 on/off
    • Days: 7a-5p and Swing Shifts: noon-8p
    • NO nights
  • Advanced Practice Provider hospitalist support during the day
  • Current average daily hospitalist census: 13 per day
  • Admit approximately 3-6 patients per swing
  • Collaborate with TeleICU Critical Care physicians (located at Fairview Southdale hospital), Tele-Hospitalist service, Tele-Infectious Disease, Tele-Neurology Stroke team and local ER Physician who is present on-site 24 hours/day.

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency training program.
  • Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
  • Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.

The posted pay range is for a 1.0 FTE. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
