We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team! This person will administer, interpret, evaluate, and manage accounting systems and procedures to ensure timely and accurate payments and invoice processing. They will support monthly close, audit processes, and maintaining the appropriate level of internal controls to safeguard the operating company's assets.They will lead teams in Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Tax, while collaborating with management and staff across various departments to achieve shared objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise teams in AP, AR, and Tax, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training.
  • Evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely A/R collections by resolving discrepancies and meeting collection targets.
  • Oversee the receipt, review, and processing of vendor invoices for accuracy. Ensure proper invoice coding and approval routing according to company policies.
  • Work with team to identify and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
  • Implement fraud prevention measures within the accounts payable process.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews of accounts payable transactions.
  • Prepare and present accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable reports to management.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential cost savings opportunities.
  • Assist in B & O tax, property tax and sales tax minimization strategies including working with qualified consultants.
  • Work with Controller and Finance team to coordinate monthly financial closings and assist with spending variance analysis and verification.
  • Ensure timely completion of required financial statements and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate policies, Risk Control Matrix (RCM's) and GAAP procedures.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting, with at least five years in a manufacturing company
  • Proficient in performing advanced finance tasks including trial balance reporting, cash cycle management, and working capital improvement
  • Experience with Concur, LeaseQuery, OneStream, Paycom, Business Intelligence is a plus

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with extensive experience with ERP software. Microsoft Dynamics preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Certified Public Accountant or candidate preferred
